Understood many times as a legendary land, Tasmania is a real place, an island located in southern Australia that is part of the continent of Oceania and that has its coasts bathed by the Ocean Peaceful. While it is not part of the territory Central Australia, Tasmania is considered to be a dependent territory of this country that is part of the Commonwealth or Common Union of Australia. Tasmania has a population of more than 500 thousand people while its territory is almost 91 square kilometers. Tasmania is right in front of the Australian state of Victoria, the smallest of all. It is separated from the rest of Australia by the Bass Strait. The capital of Tasmania is the city of Hobart.
Tasmania has a geography volcanic that makes most of its mountains and elevations have been geologically formed by volcanic eruptions. However, because they are very old, none of them reaches high altitudes, with most of Tasmania being quite low. The temperature Tasmania is quite pleasant, being temperate for most of the year, although during winter the wind currents can lower the temperature to an average of 3 ° Celsius.
As with many islands and islets in the Pacific, Tasmania has a very important and very rich diversity natural since the presence of human beings has never definitively altered the area. It is considered that a large part of its flora and fauna is endemic, which means that it is only found in this space and that is why many of the plant and animal species have suffered or are in danger extinction due to its shortage. Among the most typical animals of this island we must mention the famous Tasmanian Devil, a small carnivorous marsupial, and the Dingo, a species of wild dog that has been domesticated by man but has always been considered one of the strangest breeds in dogs.
