Tanzania is one of the largest countries in Africa. This country is located in the east of the continent, sharing its borders with the countries of Uganda, Kenya, Burundi, Zambia, Malawi, Congo, Rwanda, Mozambique and with the Ocean East Indian. The area of Tanzania is around 945 thousand square km, while its population it is close to 45 million people, which makes its population density very high. The capital of Tanzania is the city of Dodoma, although the most important is that of Dar es Salaam.
Tanzania has been a free country since 1961, when it achieved its independence from the United Kingdom to become, three years later, the combined regions of Tanganyika and Zanzibar. Today, the government of this country is that of a republic with a president and a prime minister. The country is divided into 26 regions, including Arusha, Dodoma, Kagera, Singida, Tanga, Mbeya, Pemba Norte, Mwanza and many others.
The geography and the weather from Tanzania are very particular. While to the northeast the
territory is marked by the highest mountains on the continent (among which we find the impressive Mount Kilimanjaro), to the northeast we find the Great Lakes that completely change the geography and the I usually. Due to its location on the map, Tanzania has a tropical climate with moderate temperatures, although near the mountainous areas it becomes colder and wetter.Most of the population of Tanzania profess the Muslim religion, although there are also a significant number of Christians.
