Abuse of power, terror and curtailment of individual freedoms
The one of Tyranny is a concept closely linked to the field of politics because it is precisely in the same where it is used to account for a administration politics characterized by abuse of power, forcibly imposing political decisions. That is, in tyranny there is no possibility of dialogue, there is no place for justice, equity, much less for the search for consensus.
The tyrant, who is precisely the individual who exercises a government of these characteristics, will impose through the force of coercion various policies that he considers correct and consistent to continue maintaining his power and imposing his will without disturbances, of course this.
Normally this type of government accesses power through force, for example, after leading and executing a coup that ends overthrowing the government in office, which we must also say, generally, is weakened as a result of some conjuncture special.
That weakness gives space and place for forces or politicians with personal aspirations for government and power to strike blows that will end up giving them that absolute authority they seek to achieve.
The fear, the threat and the violence concrete, are usually the resources that uses tyranny and tyrant to intimidate the people he governs and of course to ensure that they do not rise up or resist his designs, which are usually not in tune with the right, equity, justice and respect.
In this state of affairs, the state becomes a system fundamentally in charge of sowing and exercise terror against all those who are opposed to the regime proposed by tyranny in exercise. Tyrants always have an armed arm, very, very violent, which is in charge of keeping people at bay. those who dare to rebel and will also be responsible for repressing those who have exceeded the limits proposed by the tyranny.
A strong presence in history
Unfortunately world political history keeps many examples of this type of government, even today there are many governments that hide behind the democracy but in reality they exercise absolute tyrannies.
We must make it clear that in no way does this type of government guarantee the development of the community, much less issues such as freedom and access to basic rights.
Colloquial use
On the other hand, it is common for this concept to be used in the colloquial way to name the domain than a habit or that with a feeling exerts on a person and that therefore makes him dominate his actions and behaviors completely.
