Title of Professor of Biology
One of the most relevant physical phenomena among the facts of the Universe is the ability that celestial bodies have to attract each other, through the action of a force known as the force of gravity or simply gravity, which is part of the fundamental forces that impose the rules on the dynamics of the Universe. Because it is directly responsible for the order in which things are found in space, it has not stopped being considered as one of the forces fundamentals present in all the calculations of modern physics, since Newton was able to develop the mathematical interpretation of it, moment from which became one of the most fascinating and mysterious physical phenomena in the universe, the invisible force that affects everything around us, from the smallest objects to the largest planets and stars, is currently considered the most important phenomenon that makes everything possible how much exists
the cosmic dance
In the first instance, gravity induces the way in which celestial bodies in the universe move. From the rotation of the moon around the Earth, to the formation and movement of galaxies, absolutely everything is due to the constant interaction between the forces of gravity that the various bodies.
The relationship between gravity and the body that generates it is directly proportional to the mass that it possesses, hence the planets orbit the around huge solar bodies with a very high capacity for gravitational attraction, forming what has been called solar systems. In the same way, in turn, the gravity of the planets is capable of attracting and maintaining natural satellites such as our moon orbiting in its own closest neighborhood, thereby causing everything flows in a wonderful dynamic of rotations and translations between each of the bodies present in the Universe, while smaller objects such as asteroids and Particles that make up space dust travel from one place to another in an apparently errant way, depending on the gravitational fields they find in their path and without establishing greater commitments.
Another fact of great importance that is generated as a consequence of the existence of the forces of gravity of immense proportions, is the deformity of space-time that they are capable of generate and of which their first notions are just beginning to be developed, based on the great contributions that Einstein and Hawking made through mathematical assumptions that allowed to predict the presence of phenomena such as black holes, thus directing the technological development of astrophysics towards the creation of resources that would allow the search and finally the recent observable discovery of its existence, otherwise, without the mathematical conjectures raised around the gravity of celestial bodies, perhaps it would never have been discovered. not even sought the existence of black holes and neither other phenomena such as matter and dark energy, nor was it possible to know anything about the possible origins and destinies of the Universe.
natural attraction
In addition to keeping celestial bodies in motion, gravity is also responsible for other physical phenomena in the universe. For example, both the gravitational force of the sun and that of our moon Selene are responsible for the variations in the tides of the masses of water present on Earth. Gravity is also responsible for the curvature of space-time, which allows gravitational waves to propagate through the universe.
The stability that this gravitational interaction gives us in our own solar system is what also gives us the possibility of enjoying the various atmospheric cycles present on the planet, on which the existence of life.
universal variations
Understanding how gravity is produced and acts has had a far-reaching impact on the course of science and technology, enabling scientists calculate the trajectory of celestial bodies, promoting not only space exploration, but also the development of relativistic physics and the quantum.
At a biological level, gravity also has a strong impact on the development of one's own vital dynamics, through factors such as the dynamics of body fluids, such as the circulation of blood in animals and that of water and sap through the floors.
In this sense, the existing dependence between a certain force of gravity and the evolution of the species has led to an essential balance within this interaction, hence the variations in gravity experienced by astronauts in space generate important consequences in their organism, a fact that has allowed the inclusion of medical and biological research among spatial calculations, opening new scientific horizons for knowledge and use human.
