The triangle is inside the geometrya kind of polygon consisting of three sides, that is, therefore it is made up of three lines which will be cut two by two and in three points that are not aligned.
The points where the lines meet are known as vertices, while each line segment stands as the sides of the triangle in question; and the two continuous sides give rise to the interior angle.
From the aforementioned it follows that the triangle will be made up of three sides as we said, by three vertices, by three interior angles and by three exterior angles.
In the rendering on a plane, the triangle will be named with capital letters A, B and C at its vertices and its sides may be referred to as AB, BC and AC.
Triangles can be classified by two issues, by the length of its sides, question that will throw us three types of triangles and on the other hand by amplitude from its angles, classification which will give way to four different types of triangles.
While, by the extension of its sides we will find the equilateral triangle
, which is one whose sides are equal, as are its interior angles; on opposed to this there is the scalene triangle, that shows three sides with different lengths and in the middle of both opposites we find to the isosceles triangle, which will be characterized by presenting two sides with the same extension.Notably the angles that oppose these sides have the same measure. The featured Greek philosopher Thales of Miletus just demonstrated this question respect of the isosceles triangle, which has two identical angles, thus imposing a relationship between length and angle.
