The animal commonly known as Manta is one that can be describe as an aquatic animal of the order of the Rajiformes (that is to say, cartilaginous fish as it is also the shark). Its scientific name is Birostris blanket and belongs to the species of elasmobranchs, those that are composed of cartilage and very rough dermal denticles. One of the most striking and outstanding elements of the blanket (also known as a manta ray) is its flat body that is at the same time flexible and wide as the brim of a hat. Through this flexibility what would be its fins is that the blanket can move and move in the sea.
Mantas are one of the largest cartilaginous animals that can be found in the seas and oceans due to their extension, being able to reach almost nine meters in length. Blankets are animals of Water salty, which is why they cannot live or be found in freshwater spaces such as rivers or lakes. They normally feed on plankton although in some cases they can also have access to small fish. Stingrays are in many
senses similar, not only in terms of genetics or biology if not also in terms of behavior, to the sharks.Mantas are extremely beautiful animals to observe due to the particular shapes and movements they make to move around. In addition, they are always accompanied by some species of fish that clean their surface, as is also the case with sharks. However, their observation It is not recommended for people who do not have experience since the blankets can become dangerous and aggressive animals if they feel invaded or threatened. Thus, they can attack with their tail and although they do not have a poisonous stinger as other similar animals do, they can hurt strongly with it.
