The uncountable nouns They are nouns that cannot be counted or quantified. They refer to non-tangible concepts that cannot be divided or counted in units. For example: water, dust, pride.
To measure or quantify them, units of measure are used (because it is impossible to count their units). For example: the uncountable noun Salt it can be measured in grams or kilos but it is not possible to say “two salts”. Therefore, it is not common to find uncountable nouns in plural.
The abstract nouns, used to name feelings, ideas or concepts, they are usually uncountable. For example: joy, responsibility, fear.
The countable nounsInstead, they are nouns that can be counted or quantified. For example: teacher, phone, park.
