The letter x is the twenty-fifth letter of the Spanish alphabet, its origin is attributed to the Greek language, when King Palamedes created it to represent the sounds "sc" and "gs" in a single sign, creating the letter x.
The arrival of the letter x to the Spanish language occurred in the Middle Ages, where the current use of words such as "excellence" began where the "x"Has its characteristic sound and where the"x"Has the sound of the letter"j" like in Mexico.
