The transitive sentences are the ones that always need a direct object Or any complement to acquire a meaning in its entirety. For example: I delivered the exam on time. ("The test" is the direct object).
They always have Transitive verbs, which are precisely those that require a complement or direct object to make sense. For example: give, receive, carry.
The intransitive sentences, on the contrary, they do not require those elements to be able to express an idea.
