Affirmative sentences
The affirmative sentences they are those that clearly state something that, in general, is assumed to be true or true. They are used very frequently to communicate. For example: Tomorrow I will go visit you.
When we express ourselves through statements, we can do it with different objectives and that makes us materialize communication in a certain way: sometimes we ask, other we express a momentary feeling (of amazement, surprise, anger, joy), most of the time we just have something to say or assert.
When we ask, we ask through interrogative sentences; when we express emotions we usually use exclamation sentencesWhen we want to affirm or assert we resort to assertive or affirmative sentences.
For example, if someone says This summer I will take my vacations in January, that individual is communicating an intention through an affirmative sentence, and even if that person finally he will not take his vacation in January (for whatever reason), said sentence will continue to be considered affirmative.
Types of affirmative sentences
- Negative sentences. They state something by denying the opposite. For example: This summer I will not take my vacation in January. It is a negative assertive sentence and much more uncertain or confusing than before (because that way it is not known if that person will take a vacation and when).
- Hesitant prayers. They mark doubt about something. For example: I don't know if I should wash my car today. /I doubt that this couple will last.
