Syllable
The syllable it is the emission of phonemes in the same phonic nucleus. It is the phonological division of a word. For example: a-mi-go, ca-ba-llo.
The hyphenation of a word is important since it will depend on whether the word is sharp, serious, esdrújula or sobreesdrújula.
Types of syllables
Parts of a syllable
The syllable can be divided into different parts:
For example: The phonemes of the word bread (which is a monosyllable, that is, it only has one syllable) are: p - a - n. The letter P in this word is the syllabic attack, the letter A is the syllabic nucleus and the letter N is the syllabic coda.
Let's look at another example: Ctor - tandl. The word is divided into two syllables. Each of them contains a syllabic attack, a syllabic nucleus and a syllabic coda. C and T are syllabic attacks, A and E are syllabic nuclei, while R and L are syllabic codas. The word cartel is a sharp word without accent, so the stressed syllable (strong syllable) is "tel".
Words according to the number of syllables

Hiatus
