In Spanish, there are many words that contain the vowels A, E and I that precede the consonant G, but very few with the O and U. For example: agito, egredress, igI notice, ogro, Uggo.
Although there are some words that contain a vowel followed by the G in the same syllable (for example: ig - no - ran - cia), there are many that contain these sequences but in different syllables (for example: á - gil).
