The verbs are those words that indicate states, processes, stocks or actions. Within the sentence, they constitute the core of the predicate, and are modified according to the number, voice, time, mode and person.
The state verbs are aqthose who they express emotions, opinions, situations, and not actions. For example:We're satisfied with the consequences of the news.
They do not signal an action (such as speak or sing) nor an event of nature (as happens with thunder or rain), but rather the condition of the subject. For example: The report result very useful.
State verbs have the role of uniting, within a proposition, the subject with the predicate and, by themselves, they do not have a total meaning.
