Regionalisms
The regionalisms are those words that are used in a particular geographic space (a country or several countries) and that are synonyms of words that are used at a general level, that is, in that area a concept is given a different name than the one commonly used.
For example: In Mexico it is said workand in Argentina laburo, but they both refer to the same concept: job.
A regionalism is not the same as a localism. The latter refers to the use in smaller places of a country (a province or a city) of terms that are used as synonyms of other generally used terms.
