20 Final Sentence Examples
Miscellanea / / July 04, 2021
With the name of final sentences they are known those that contain result clauses, that is, those that include an internal subordination structure represented by two constructions, in which one is derived directly from the other.
They are also known as consecutive sentences, because what is being shown, in short, is a statement and its immediate consequence. The fundamental thing is that the second internal structure of the sentence is dependent on the first.
The element that distinguishes this class of sentences, in all languages, is the connector: the link between the two constructions is given by an element that is the one that shows what kind of relationship is established. In the case of English, the most common are sentences that include the connectors'that’ Y ‘SW', that link the final clause with the main clause.
Words or constructions such as'resulting in’, ‘such’ (equivalent to ‘so… what’), ‘so many'Or'so much', Depending on whether the reference is made to countable or uncountable elements. On fewer occasions ‘for’ is the word used for the same purpose.
