The stop words (also called homophones) are those that sound or are written in a similar way but have a different meaning. For example: it fell (from the verb to fall) and callus (from the verb to shut up).
Paronymy can be for three reasons:
Paronymy occurs because many letters sound similar to each other. For example: C and K; C, S and Z; B and V.
Also, H is silent, unless preceded by C. Whereas the U, when it is located behind the letters G and Q and before the E or the I, does not sound either.
