The preposition "during" it is used to indicate a period of time or that an action happens at the same time as something else. For example: He lived in Brazil during four years. / You have to drink plenty of water during the day.
The prepositions are links that relate the different elements of a sentence and are used to indicate origin, provenance, address, destination, medium, reason or possession.
Like all prepositions, “During” is invariable (that is, it has neither gender nor number).
