The past perfect of indicative mood It is a verb tense that is used to refer to an action in the past that takes place before another action also in the past. For example: When I arrived, everyone already knew hadgone of the place.
This verb tense is formed with the assistant "Have" in past imperfect or copreterite (indicative mood) followed by participle of the main verb, which is the one that will give it the global meaning. The fact that it is a perfect verb indicates that the action is finished. For example: The boy was crying because he there wasbeaten.
The past perfect is used:
