The synthesis verbs are part of the group called evaluative verbs and, as their name implies, their function is to join or unite parts or fragments of knowledge to form a whole, and also to build relationships for new situations. For instance: combine, assemble, create.
The term “synthesize” refers to the process of working with parts or elements, in a way that sort, organize and combine them to form a whole or structure that was not previously presented with clarity. Thus, the verbs synthesis serve to organize information, classify objects, events and ideas, and integrate knowledge from different areas. For instance: define, establish, gather.
