Using the J

The letter J is a consonant y is the tenth letter in the alphabet. This letter is not widely used in Spanish. For instance: jirafa, gearjand, jfertilizer.

Generally, there is confusion regarding when to use the letter J, because it has the same sound as the letter G, when the latter is in front of E or I. For instance: landje, coraje, cojín.
