The sharp wordsare those in which the prosodic accent is located on the last syllable, call tonic, since it is the syllable that is pronounced with more relief or force. Sharp words must carry, in certain cases, a tilde (´) according to different accentuation rules.
The sharp words ending in s are always stressed, and the accent or tilde will be placed on the stressed vowel (the vowel with the strongest pronunciation), for example:
