Types of words
There are different types of words according to what function they fulfill and according to what they refer to. For instance: nouns, adjectives, adverbs.
Words are units that usually have meaning and are separated from others by spaces in writing and by possible pauses in speech.
In addition to being classified into different word classes, words can be classified according to meaning, according to their structure, or according to their stress.

Types of words according to their stress
This classification criterion is phonetic, since the sound and pronunciation of the words is taken into account. Words are classified according to their stressed syllable, that is, according to which syllable is pronounced the loudest.
