    Example of Paragraph Types

    A paragraph It is a set of written words that serve to express an idea.

    The paragraph It is composed of a sentence or a group of these, begins with a capital letter and ends with a full stop.

    There are several types of paragraph, depending on its particular characteristics.

    Paragraph examples:

    Argumentative: manifests an idea in which a fact is affirmed or denied.

    Chronological: the text narrates the order in which the events that are exposed in it occurred.

    Descriptive: it is a paragraph in which a fact, person, or object is logically described.

    Conceptual: usually used in scientific texts.

    Enumeration: this lists situations that go from the most important to the least important within the text.

    Explanatory: it deals more specifically with the topic that is being discussed in the text.

    Expository: the information being narrated is expressed in an orderly manner.

    Deductive: here the main idea is placed at the beginning in a general way and then each specific case is presented.

    Inductive: in this case the main idea is placed at the end, it begins by exposing particular cases to end with a general idea.

    Conclusion: they are used to close a certain topic.

    Closing: a small conclusion of the general topic is made, it can include advice, reflections or a summary of the text.

    Comparative: expresses the differences and similarities that exist between two facts, objects, people, or phenomena.
