In the field of right, the penalty is the punishment that a authority competent authority imposes on that individual who has committed a crime or has not observed a rule. Basically, the penalty in this regard is the principal tool that has a nation to be able to counteract the crime.
When the authority imposes a penalty, immediately afterwards the individual rights and freedoms of the person who commits the crime are restricted. If the authority finds him guilty of the fact, he will be sentenced to prison for x number of years which means the loss of the Liberty.
