When you talk about precious metals, purity is the traditional unit of measurement that is precisely used to measure the presence of gold or silver, whether in bars, coins or jewels.
Measure that evaluates the pure presence of precious metals
It should be noted that the law gold is measured in carats and the one that corresponds to silver in money and in grains.
When the gold is one hundred percent pure, it will be said that it is 24 carats, while the purest silver measures 12 money.
Absence of dirt, contamination, mixing or deterioration
On the other hand, the word purity is used to designate the lack of dirt that something presentsIn other words, when something is said to be in the highest purity, it is because it is absolutely clean.
What is characterized by its purity is called pure being that in its state it is original, without contamination, mixing, or any deterioration.
This sense is usually applied in various fields.
The precious metals that we refer to are pure as long as they are not mixed with other elements, that is, they present a single
chemical element in its conformation. It is not usual for metals to be in a state of purity in nature, such purity is only possible after being subjected to complex processes that achieve it.
For its part, water and air, two elements inherent to nature, and highly relevant to life on the planet, are presented in a state of purity when no pollutant accompanies them.
The smoke from a factory will pollute the air surrounding it, causing it to become highly toxic for those who inhale it.
While water can become dangerous when mixed with a toxic.
It is important to point out that people must make sure, before drinking water, that it is drinkable, that it comes from a safe place.
The same happens with the air, we must avoid those contaminated spaces because breathing impure air can cause severe disorders to our health.
The purity of a space or of an element or object is achieved by cleaning them and for this it is necessary to use various utensils and also products designed for this purpose.
Synonym of virginity
Another recurring use of the word in question arises at the request of the sexuality, because in this context talking about purity is the same as talking about virginity.
Virginity or purity, applied in relation to a person's sexuality, indicates that they have never had sexual experiences of any kind and with anyone.
Likewise and on the other hand, in this same area, the word purity will allow us to indicate someone's innocence in everything concerning sex.
In the religion It is also common to mention this term when expressing the absence of dirt, impurities or any other type of polluting agent in the mind or soul of a faithful.
Generally the purity in this area will be given by the strict practice of some actions and also due to the non-performance of some actions that are in absolute opposition to the concept of purity.
For example, in the Christian religion for a believer to have sex outside of his or her marriage it will be considered an act totally lacking in purity.
Animals: come from the union of male and female of the same breed
On the other hand, when the concept is applied to animals it is usually linked to distinguishing those that are of race, that is, that result from the union of a male and female that belong to the same race.
In some contexts, the lack of purity in this sense can be rejected and cause the animal to be despised.
Nazism promoted the purity of the Aryan race and therefore persecuted the Jews, whom it considered inferior
We cannot ignore that this idea was transferred to humanity, generating one of the darkest moments in history, when the Nazism proclaimed that the Aryan race was superior to the rest, for example, it should maintain its purity and never mix with other races less than which had to be made to disappear directly, such is the case of the Jews, whom Nazism purposely persecuted and abused, and applied the call solution end that implied its massive extermination.
The word that opposes the one at hand is that of dishonesty, which refers to the lack and absence of honesty or of rectitude in the action.
