On computing, an address can be one of several things. In short, any type of address is associated with the ability to locate and find information in a simple and organized way.
A memory address constitutes an identifier to locate a space of storage for a data or data set. Addresses of this type help a program or device to find a place to locate information that can then be easily retrieved.
Another type of address is the IP. The ip number (Internet Protocol or Internet Protocol) serves to identify in a logical and hierarchical way the interface of a device within a network that uses this protocol. Typically, an IP address identifies a computer or other type of device on your functioning in the network, so that it allows at all times to discern from which precise computer certain information has been sent. If the IP changes every time the user connects to the Internet, it is said to be dynamic.
A third type of direction in computing is the URL or data character sequence that, following a standard criterion, names and locates resources such as documents, images and websites on the Internet. The Uniform Resource Identifier or Uniform Resource Identifier is essential for the operation of the Web, since it allows Publish content and easily find it, or make it available for others to find by simply entering the information from sequence. The URL is unique and constitutes the real address of any type of information or resource on the Internet.
Finally, something as simple as storing and retrieving a file on a computer requires a specific address or location that allows the system to perform these operations.
