The term transportation is used to designate the movement that a person, object, animal or natural phenomenon can do from one place to another. Transport can be done in many different ways, although normally the idea of transport is related to with that of means of transport, that is, those vehicles that serve to transport or move people or objects.
Transportation may have professional or pleasure purposes, interests of profit or from fun. When a person must travel for work, it is not the same as traveling for pleasure, to discover new spaces and their features. In addition, the transport can also be carried out by different means and this is where the means of transport that are perhaps the essential elements that a person can have to mobilize.
The means of transport are the vehicles that go into motion and on which people or specific cargo can be transported or moved from one point to another. It is clear that transportation today is very varied, each one of them having special and particular characteristics. Thus, we find means of public transport such as trains, buses and taxis in front of private means of transport such as cars, bicycles or other means that are particular to a person. Other elements that are also means of transport but are not usually considered as such are elevators since they also move and move people or objects.
Except for some specific cases, means of transport are usually expensive due to their size and the complexity of their realization. Some of them are specially designed to bring many people together while others are more exclusive and therefore much more expensive and unaffordable in terms of cost. For them to work, it is necessary to establish a large network of highways, controlled airspace and road rules that prevent accidents or conflicts.
