Tobacco is a plant product that is obtained from the plant known as Nicotiana (with many different species) being also the main and central element of tobacco cigarettes, the most popular and consumed. Tobacco is originally from America, having been used by the Americans for a long time before the Europeans discovered it in the 15th century and brought it back to their lands. Tobacco is today one of the main products consumed in the world because it has important addictive properties that make the consumer generate an important dependence to him.
Tobacco is considered one of the most addictive and harmful substances freely consumed by human beings in the present (unlike others that are considered illegal). Tobacco is consumed mainly through inhalation of the smoke that its combustion generates, since it is not normal to consume tobacco as food. Today, tobacco cigarettes have many other harmful and addictive elements that make it almost impossible to quit.
