Believe that something is in such a way or that someone will behave in this or that way. trust is a quality of living beings that it supposes believe and have safety that a situation is a certain way, or that a person will act in a certain way. Confidence supposes security in oneself as in others since it implies the belief that certain results or consequences will be achieved in certain situations. Trust is then related to a feeling that sets its sights on a future action that has not yet happened and about which there is no empirical certainty.
Trust, observed in animals and humans
Although in the case of animals, trust does not appear as something conscious but rather as something instinctive, in humans trust can be consciously and voluntarily generated from the presence of elements, experiences or situations that vary in each individual. Trust involves some work and effort, since the human being is aware of it, he must put himself in a secure situation that what is sustained will happen.
Who do we trust?
Generally, we tend to trust what or those who show us kindness, aptitudes and loyalty and therefore we will not trust at all in something or someone that is not shown in this way and even more they generate doubts for considering them deceptive or cheating in some sense.
Meanwhile, this belief that we develop is usually based on assumptions that generate previous events, that is, in events that happened previously and in which that person for example had a performance correct and positive and then it is assumed that it will remain so in the future.
Beware of blind trust
Now, it is important that we emphasize that although certain facts or people generate confidence in us, we should never relax in this sense because sometimes overconfidence in something, someone and even oneself can lead to disappointments.
Let's think about the trust that we sometimes place in ourselves when carrying out a certain activity and then it does that we do not prepare properly and feel like winners, but suddenly, someone prepared more and that's it. surpassing us. At this point we must be absolutely careful. It is very good that we trust in what we can do but we must always be vigilant and prepared so that they do not happen to us.
The same happens with others, sometimes it usually happens that we trust a lot in friends, family, coworkers, among others, and suddenly that person lets us down by doing something that it hurts a lot. This state of affairs is popularly known as abuse trustworthy and we must say that it is very common for it to happen, so always be vigilant and unless you are not absolutely certain you should not give blank checks to anyone.
The notion of trust can be used in individual terms as well as in sociological terms
This is so because trust can appear in each individual in different ways, in some more evident than in others. The presence of high levels of confidence that an individual can have about himself makes that person reach her goals more easily than a person who does not have self-confidence and who doubts his capabilities of him. The development of the appropriate level of trust in an individual is clearly linked to an important number of phenomena such as lived experiences, the parenting context, the personality, the environment surrounding it, etc.
However, the term trust is also applied at the social level because it is a virtue that being The human person establishes not only on himself but also on others and implies a great familiarity in dealing with interpersonal. Thus, trust in colleagues and peers is one of the basic and most important elements for the development of a level of coexistence adequate.
Intimacy and familiarity
On the other hand, the word trust is used a lot in our language as a synonym for familiarity and intimacy with other people. When there is a deep friendly bond between people, the trust of one another usually overflows and then there is no itching when sharing intimate, domestic moments or exposing certain situations that in public would not be given to know.
