Compound Verb Example

compound verbs are those verbs that are formed from two verb forms. They are formed from verb to have (which works as an auxiliary verb that does not itself express a meaning) and a participle verb (ending -ado, -ido, -to, -so, -cho). For example:
- It has generated: compound time of generate in the antepresent (verb) to have in present + generate in participle)
- you will have arrived: compound time of reach in the antefuture (verb to have in the future + arrive in participle)
- Had lost: compound time of to lose in antecopreterite (verb to have in copreterite + lose in participle)
On the contrary, simple verbs are those that do not require an auxiliary verb and that are made up of a single verbal form, for example, the previous compound verbs in their simple forms would be generate, arrive, lose...
