Importance of Electronics

Although technically electronics is a field of physical science, who studies the movements of electrons and electromagnetic variations, surely in daily life we understand by electronics something much less abstract. For most people, electronics refers to the technology on which electronic devices are based, and which, of course, has changed our way of life in the last hundred years.
The electronics are based on employ electromagnetic forces to transmit and use information. We could say that his discovery is similar to that of the pulley, the wheel and other mechanical devices that made life so much easier for people. But if these are aimed at saving physical efforts, electronics is based on the management, transfer and use of the information. Without electronics there would be no computers, mobiles, televisions, certain medical devices, automata, Internet... And it is that through the use of electronic devices information can be easily transmitted and used from an input device, to process it and display it on another output device. (Let's use the practical example of a calculator: we enter the data with the keyboard, the calculator processes it and shows the result on the screen).
At this point it is necessary to distinguish between the concept of electronic and electric. When we talk about an electrical appliance, we mean that it is an appliance that needs or makes use of electricity to function, while electronic devices are those specifically oriented to the transmission or treatment of information. Obviously, all electronic devices are electrical at the same time, but not vice versa.
Gibberish aside, currently the society of information lives with, by, for and thanks to electronics. I am sure that we are not even aware of half of the electronic devices that surround us, and that they are increasing day by day. Within these electronic devices, there is a section that has gained special importance: the digital electronic, which is prevailing over the old electronic analogue. In digital electronics, systems use and take known variables (the best known is the binary system, with two possible variables, used in almost all computer systems), and that makes them much more accurate and reliable in the transmission of information.
Electronics and its advances are undoubtedly transforming our society, changing our habits and the personality of individuals. Electronics have promoted not only technological advances, but also social and personal ones. That is why today we can clearly and clearly assert that electronic devices are a indisputable pillar in the new society of the 21st century, the information society.
