Although technically electronics is a field of physical science, who studies the movements of electrons and electromagnetic variations, surely in daily life we ​​understand by electronics something much less abstract. When we talk about an electrical appliance, we mean that it is an appliance that needs or makes use of electricity to function, while electronic devices are those specifically oriented to the transmission or treatment of information. Obviously, all electronic devices are electrical at the same time, but not vice versa.

Gibberish aside, currently the society of information lives with, by, for and thanks to electronics. I am sure that we are not even aware of half of the electronic devices that surround us, and that they are increasing day by day. Within these electronic devices, there is a section that has gained special importance: the digital electronic, which is prevailing over the old electronic analogue. In digital electronics, systems use and take known variables (the best known is the binary system, with two possible variables, used in almost all computer systems), and that makes them much more accurate and reliable in the transmission of information.

Electronics and its advances are undoubtedly transforming our society, changing our habits and the personality of individuals. Electronics have promoted not only technological advances, but also social and personal ones. That is why today we can clearly and clearly assert that electronic devices are a indisputable pillar in the new society of the 21st century, the information society.
