Importance of Competitiveness

Competitiveness is one of the most important and most sought after attitudes in most of the social spaces that exist today. Both in the workplace and the student sphere, including family and couple relationships, we find elements that suggest that the human being, in general terms, is a competitive being.
The root of all things: is competition part of the human essence?
Before talking about competitiveness as a value or as an element in itself, it is interesting to ask the question that guides us in the subtitle. It can be answered in very different ways depending on which philosophical, political or religious school is encouraged to give its opinion. It is impossible to speak of a way of understanding the human essence.
Having said this, we can point out that life in society necessarily makes us competitive beings because our subsistence depends, in most cases, on caring for oneself rather than for others the rest. Leaving value judgments aside, there are many who have thought about this question throughout history, especially in recent centuries in which the value of competitiveness has grown greatly in societies westerners. Although the
solidarity it is also a human value, properly stimulated the former seems to surface more easily. The need to be competitive to survive
When we realize that we live in worlds in which there are more and more rules to follow in order to be successful and that the possibilities of actually being one do not necessarily grow in the same way, it is clear that competitiveness becomes a essential element. In the workplace, this is clearly seen since achieving success or at least what is desired will depend largely on how we know how to behave in order to stand out and stand out from others. The same thing happens in the student world and that is why educational institutions, instead of stimulating solidarity values, favor increasingly selfish and individualistic values.
In this way we understand that considering the need to compete with others is the only thing that can lead us to achieve our goals. Although not everything is like that, most human relationships are based on competition between those who form them and that is why conflicts often arise between siblings, in the couple, between co-workers, between colleagues, etc
Competition in the market
In addition to being a social element, the characteristic that we are describing here today is also a central value in the world of economics. This is so since it is understood that when a company, a business, a project or a entrepreneurship you want to be successful and achieve the best results you must first know how to be competitive.
How is this accomplished? Offering the best products and the best prices, clearly defining the public to which it will be addressed, looking for new ways of distribution of the product, developing creative ideas to advertise it, offer elements that differentiate it from other products or services in the market etc
