Importance of Planning

The concept of planning comes from the word plan, which is a verb and means to organize something before it happens in order to find yourself better prepared. Planning is then the act by which a person, an institution, or a group organize in a anticipate a situation, event or action that is already known to take place in order to do it in the best way possible.
Planning is very common in certain areas that have to do with long-term actions or actions whose results must be assessed. In this sense, it is common to talk about planning in the labor and business environment since any institution or organization that seeks to obtain profits must plan in advance elements such as investment, anticipated expenses, investment recovery time, incidental expenses, possible difficulties that limit profits, credits, etc. All this should be exposed in the planning in order to better organize the performance and be aware of the possible consequences of the work.
Planning in the school environment
It is a common practice for a teacher to plan prior to the activity that will take place during the school year, either in terms of the contents that will be tried to reach to see as well as in terms of methodologies, work strategies, activities, resources to use, etc

In the same way, it is necessary to develop a contingency strategy, which indicates the actions that will be carried out to respond quickly and effectively to any eventuality.

Whether we work individually or as a team, having a plan is a great tool to motivate us, because it gives us a point of reference to return at any time of process. Looking at the plan and seeing how far we have come is very encouraging and can help us determine how far we have strayed from the original vision, allowing us to get back on track.
In addition to this, this process promotes the creativity and innovation, since it allows us to express our ideas in the search for solutions to the challenges that arise.

Many experts agree that the best way to achieve what we want is to put our action plan down on paper. Most people just walk without having a clear destination they want to reach and are surprised when they realize that their life is not what they would have expected.
Taking the time to create our written plan is worth it, as it helps us establish priorities, and allows us to maintain a balance. It also makes us take control and responsibility to procure a future that makes us happier, so that we do not reach the end of the road feeling sorry for not having done what we wanted.
The planning process may seem long and tedious, however it is important to ensure the successful execution of any business or life project. Failing to do so can be much more costly in the long run.
