Dance is one of the oldest art expressions of humanity and it consists of the motion rhythm of the human body associated with music.

During this long history, man has put it into practice in various contexts and circumstances such as: rituals, celebrations, contests, shows, among others, and his mission has ranged from entertainment, cultural manifestation and expression of feelings.
It has an important cultural component, that is to say, each place in the world has its native and reference dance, and its manifestations linked to the popular, or more formally.
And not to mention the influence that society and each era has brought to it, its demonstrations being really very different in the past if compared to today.
An effective way to acquire diverse skills
Because it is then a vehicle of communication and of very direct expression is that traditionally it has been used at the request of teaching to influence key aspects such as: acquiring and developing skills, motor skills and tasks, developing coordination, the
creativity, memory, attention and social interaction.Precisely at the social level, the importance of this skill rises when it comes to improving social ties, improving moods, among others. An absolute benefit for the mind and body
And we cannot ignore the benefits that it brings to health at any age that it is performed, since the years do not they are a barrier in no way and can therefore be developed by older adults who want to have fun.
With dance, expression and fun have priority, while the body and mind will directly receive their contributions, among which stand out: reduction of stress levels and states depressive, increased confidence and self-esteem, strengthens the heart, loss of body weight, increased energy, provides flexibility, resistance and strength to the muscles.
On the other hand, there are scientific studies that show that this art that mixes body movements accompanied by music helps to prevent diseases that affect memory, such is the case of Alzheimer's, the most emblematic of this type, and increases the levels of intelligence.
Nothing, then, can be more positive than dancing, and for this reason it is recommended to do it regularly throughout life, one of the activities for which there is no age, it is enough with the commitment and the desire to have fun.
