Importance of Reforestation

Reforestation in our day to day is a operation essential for the survival of man and others living beings; and it is that taking into account the large number of fires, indiscriminate felling of trees and other fortuitous or caused accidents, the green mass of our planet decreases. This means that the carbon dioxide that we expel when breathing, little by little will lose the opportunity to be transformed into oxygen; and it is that without trees or plants, the photosynthesis it is completely impossible. Thus, we can say that the main importance of reforestation is to ensure that there is enough oxygen on the planet to supply its living beings. However, the truth is that it is not the only importance of it.
We can also say that this reforestation is necessary to create more extensions of forest whose trees can trap and remove polluting particles such as dust, pollen, smoke or ash that can be really harmful to our lungs.
Without reforestation, the acquaintance greenhouse effect increases
; and it is that the heat of the earth is retained in the atmosphere because the levels of Co2 and other gases do not allow it to be released. Thus, the trees are in charge of dragging and filtering this Co2, not only eliminating it from the earth, but also converting it into oxygen.Trees are also essential agents for conserve water and reduce soil erosionThus, at this point, reforestation would also be completely essential. Thanks to this, we get more trees that can reduce the flow of torrential waters on the ground, thus reducing erosion and sedimentation in rivers.
Reforestation will reduce the thermal island effect considerably. Thus, large reforestations can even modify the local climate by lowering the high temperatures a bit, created by the storage of thermal energy at a specific point and intensified by the steel and asphalt of large cities.
All these advantages are jeopardized by various problems. To start with the action of man, who constantly cuts down green areas to get fuel or to use said wood in the industry. Likewise, we also find fires, many times natural accidents, many others caused by people.
If we do not manage to make people aware that reforestation is the only weapon we have to continue maintaining the green lungs of our earth, possibly within a few centuries, the quality of life on our planet will be considerably more low.
