Importance of Transactions

Day by day, in our daily life we carry out multiple transactions, although perhaps never -until now- we have started to reflect on what precisely the concept implies. A transaction is an exchange of something between two people, between a person and a machine or between two machines -which, however, are always managed and controlled by people-.
For example, a well-known application of the term refers to commercial or financial transactions, both framed in the economy. If I sell a mobile phone to a friend because I bought a new one and I no longer use the one I had - and since I need the money, then I sell it - it is a commercial transaction. The same applies for every time you go to buy anything at the kiosk, the pharmacy, the supermarket, among other businesses. They all involve commercial transactions.
In the case of financial transactions, they are a bit more complex, since there are specific intermediaries between the person called investor or shareholder and companies or private financial entities such as banks, stock exchanges, values or banks of investment
. Basically, here you do not buy a product (as you do in your neighborhood kiosk) but what is traded are "shares" (parts of the capital or debt of a company or private good).Today, both commercial and financial transactions are mediated by machines and can be carried out using methods of "secure transactions", that protect and give security to the person about the management and destination of the money that is sending/receiving through cyberspace, something that, until not many years ago, was totally unthinkable to do
On the other hand, at the level of the psychology, transactions are part of the process by which two people interact, sending and receiving stimuli that they send to their brain, first passing through the senses, and that allow them to give an interpretation and meaning to those received stimuli.
Finally, it is also common to talk about transactions within the field of computing. In this discipline, transactions are the stages of a process of information exchange, between the moment in which a person indicates an action for the computer to carry out, and the moment in which that action is carried out. In this case, also for example two people can interact making transactions through machines, as is the case with chat rooms, services instant messaging or when someone posts information on a social network and one or more people comment or share it.
