No one can deny today the value of social networks when creating claim or complaint dynamics in situations that previously went unnoticed or were not widely known. In this sense, the voice that has been awakened in that space to later move to the traditional media of communication and that seeks to denounce cases of sexual abuse or harassment in different spaces is known as #MeToo or #YoTambién in Spanish. This motion It has been a kind of liberation and at the same time healing for many women, for which its relevance is undeniable.

The different forms of abuse and the impunity of silence

Although today the term "femicide" is very common, reality shows us that there are many forms of violence and abuse that are given on a daily basis by men mainly to women but also to children, members of the LGBT community and others. One of them is sexual abuse and another is harassment, acts that are normal in many areas: in the family, in the job, in public space, at school, etc.

That is why, based on the relevance that social networks have in our lives, the hashtag "Me Too" has been created to that all women who wish to report situations or cases of abuse can do so freely and feel accompanied by others. This also serves to raise awareness about the infinite number of cases that indicate, on the other hand, that these practices are naturalized in the patriarchal system in which we live.

The presence of Hollywood and the disclosure of famous cases

During 2017, voices were raised in the world that until then many took as an ideal: Hollywood.
