Importance of Fishing

We know Fishing as the activity consisting of the Extraction of Fish or any other Aquatic Species of its natural habitat, through different Capture Techniques, being one of the first Economic Activities in the history of humanity, together with Hunting and Gathering, being also used as a Recreational Activity, which is why it is undoubtedly one of the most widespread activities in the world.

Each one of the techniques or methodologies is considered as a Fishing Art, having not only a classification depending on whether it is Sweet water (in Rivers or Lagoons) or the one related to Salt Water (carried out in oceans and Mares) but depending on the different instruments used in it, or the environment where it is carried out.

But in the first place we must highlight the modality of Sport Fishing having Competition as its main purpose, although it can also be used simply in moments of Leisure, having in the first place different Competences that vary according to the rules that have been agreed upon, while on the other hand we have different Regulations and

With regard to Commercial Fishing, as its name is indicating, it seeks to obtain a Lucrative Benefit with the realization of it, being for this reason one of the first Economic Activities, especially in small towns, still being used to obtain income, carried out by Fishing Groups, not differentiating only in the purpose, but also distinguishing itself at the Regulatory and Legislative level, the extraction being regulated by different States that have jurisdiction determined.

Industrial Fishing is carried out on a large scale, using massive fishing systems that, although they use Traditional Fishing techniques, are carried out on a large scale, counting on an Initial Capital that is used for the purchase of Fishing Vessels as well as the use of Port Areas where they can distribute the catch obtained.
