Circulatory System Example

The circulatory system It is in charge of transporting and nourishing the body with oxygen, nutrients and other substances that are necessary in all the cells of the body.
The also called circulatory system or cardiovascular system It is mainly made up of:
- Heart
- Blood vessels
- Arteries
- Veins
- Capillaries
There are many qualities of the circulatory system, since it is this that nourishes the body, is responsible for growth and development by sending nutrients and hormones and transmits life through its compound.
Functioning of the circulatory system:
1.- Blood.- Blood is made up mainly of water, and other priority compounds such as hemoglobin, which is what gives it its characteristic color. It carries vital oxygen to all cells in the body. The amount of blood in the human body is approximately five liters, it carries both nutritional substances and waste and when the body is damaged, the blood concentrates in that place and is able to clot to cover the injuries. Red Blood Cells or Erythrocytes are those that contain hemoglobin and their function is to transport oxygen and white blood cells or leukocytes are part of the defense system against infectious agents and form the Platelets or Thrombocytes necessary for the coagulation process of the blood.
2.- Heart.- This is the pump that generates all circulation, and is capable of transporting blood throughout the body. It has a point that regulates its rhythm of function, making the two valves send the blood to their respective places.
The heart has two atria, one responsible for sending oxygenated blood throughout the body and the other for transporting dirty and oxygen-depleted blood to the lungs to be filtered and purified. The passage or pumping of the heart is called systole and diastole, which are the time when blood is sent through an atrium to the body or is absorbed to be oxygenated and filtered.
3.- Oxygenation.- The blood and circulatory system work by passing the blood to the lungs, which have the ability to oxygenate the blood, passing it to the heart that will send it back.
4.- Hormones.- The hormones created in the body are transported in the blood, this function works permanently although widely changes the type of hormone, the circulatory system can send them to all parts of the body.
5.- Blood vessel.- This is an organ that has the function of retaining and resending blood to the body, it allows to maintain pressure and force in the circulatory system. These allow the body's temperature to be modified, since it is through these that the body cools itself.
6.- Arteries.- The arteries are the conduits through which the clean blood that nourishes the body passes.
7.- Veins.- The veins are the conduits through which the blood that lacks oxygen passes and that has to pass through the liver, kidneys and lungs to be re-oxygenated.
