Raw Materials Example
Administration / / July 04, 2021
is defined as raw Materials to all basic items needed to craftprocessed products. Raw materials are directed directly to consumption or directed to industrial plants, which process them to produce a product that meets a specific need.
To be considered raw materials, these materials must be obtained directly from nature or with processes minors that create the basic raw material, such as with refined sugar that passes from the plant species to the product final.
Types of raw materials:
Raw materials can be classified as follows:
1. Renewable raw materials
They are the basic materials that are obtained from nature and that can be easily replaced by sowing or breeding, they are also considered as inexhaustible raw materials, as it happens with:
- Wheat flour
- The butter
- Fruits and vegetables
Renewable raw materials are subdivided by their direct origin:
to. Renewable animal raw materials
Such as animal fat, meat, egg, or feathers.
b. Renewable vegetable raw materials
Like seeds, fruits, vegetables and tubers.
2. Non-renewable raw materials
Non-renewable raw materials are those that are obtained from nature and cannot be replenished, or take a long time to replenish:
- Mineral carbon
- Petroleum
- Minerals
This is because they are used in the state in which they are obtained, and they can only be administered, combined or recycle, but new ones cannot be produced, with the exception of wind and solar energy which are considered inexhaustible.
Example of vegetable raw materials:
- Rubber
- Avocado
- Cotton
- Rice
- Sugar
- Cane
- Plum
- Date
- Raspberry
- Strawberry
- Beans
- grenade
- Guava

Examples of raw materials of animal origin:
- Tuna
- Herring
- Oxen
- Donkeys
- Cod
- Ostrich
- Horses
- Goats
- Pig
- Quail
- Rabbits
- Lambs
- Chickens
- Mules
- Turkeys
- Cattle
- Leather
- Skin
- Leather
- Bone
- Animal fat
- Egg
- Wool
- Milk
- Ivory
Examples of mineral raw materials:
- Aluminum
- Antimony
- Mud
- Quarry
- Copper
- Tin
- Granite
- Iron
- Magnesium
- Marble
- Nickel
- Gold
- Silver
- Lead
- Sodium (salt)
- Titanium
- Uranium
Examples of manufactured raw materials:
They require a process to be created:
- Steel (iron and carbon)
- Stainless steel (carbon iron, nickel and chromium)
- Alcohol (takes a chemical process)
- Sugar (takes a chemical process)
- Bronze (copper-tin alloy)
- Cement (requires spraying and baking process)
- Chorizo (receives a basic chemical process and seasoning)
- Cream (requires selection)
- Ham (made by an industrial or artisanal process)
- Longaniza (Requires a basic chemical process and seasoning)
- Butter (requires a mechanical process)
- Bread (requires a chemical and thermal process)
- Cheese (requires a chemical process)
- Salami (made by industrial or artisanal process)
- Sausages (manufactured by industrial or artisanal process)
- Silica (combination of silicon with oxygen)
- Plastic (produced by refining and selecting heavy oil)
