A Right angle is the one who measures exactly 90 °. It is of vital importance in applications of civil engineering, architecture and other disciplines. Thanks to the importance that this type of angle receives, many built structures have stood upright indefinitely.
In Geometry, a the lines that form a right angle are called Perpendicular Lines.
The right angle represents a quarter of a circumference (it has 360 °).
Right Angle: Formed by two perpendicular lines.
Right Angle Manifestations
The Right angle manifests itself in a large number of geometric figures. In some as a participant, and in others as an agent that characterizes them:
Square. It is made up of four right angles, and its four sides are equal. Watch Square Features.
Rectangle. It is also made up of four right angles. The difference with the square is that it has two pairs of sides of different sizes.
Rectangle trapezoid. It has two right angles. They were defined by the union between the bases, which are parallel.
Right triangle. It can be an isosceles or a scalene. What is important to name this triangle is that it contains a right angle.
Right Angle Equivalences
The Right Angle is the result of two or more complementary Angles together.
Right Angle Applications
Thanks to the attention paid to the Right Angle contained in the Right Triangle, the foundations of Trigonometry have been laid, which is the set of geometric associations, identities and formulas that are useful to measure practically everything, based on this type of triangle.
Another application of the right angle is in the productive sector, in the creation of boxes and packaging capable of being stowed and creating a balance while optimizing spaces.
Another application of the right angle is in fluid dynamics, in the creation of Elbows, T, or deviations. This right-angle configuration is useful when fluid needs to be redirected, and turbulence generation doesn't matter as much.

- Obtuse angles.
