Example of Personal References

Personal references are documents made by an individual who makes a reference to a person. The reference consists of data on the work, school and personal behavior of the referrer. With these data, it is implied that the person you are talking about is a trusted person.

Said document can be addressed to a financial institution (bank), a potential employer, or an institution; to have greater confidence in said person or so that if used in obtaining a job or position, the employer or authority in charge of contracting is aware of the good conduct of the person referred to in the reference.

Personal references are requested to verify the veracity of certain data provided by the person, who makes a request for financial services to a bank, or in the cases of a person applying for a job or position in a company or an institution, being a useful tool to make said check.

In many cases the reference letter and the letter of recommendation they are used as equivalents.

What elements does a personal reference letter contain?

Referrer data:

• Name of who writes the reference.
• Official identification data. (identity documents)
• Address of residence or place of work.
• Telephone number and contact email

Referral data:

• Name of the person referred to in the reference
• Curp or identity number
• Address of the referenced
• Time and type of relationship
• Jobs in which he has performed
• Personal characteristics.
