The iconographic cards They are the cards dedicated to art and it is used to represent and catalog the works of art.
Its use includes works of different artistic branches such as:
- Buildings
- Paints
- Sculptures
- Hieroglyphics
And the essential parameters in this type of card are the following:
- Name of the author or authors
- Title or name of the work
- Source
- Place where it is exposed or protected
- General data of the work
So also the data that may be but are optional are:
- Place where the work is exhibited (if exhibited)
- Photograph of the work (it is optional and may depend on the work)

Mexico City Mining Palace
Building date: Between 1797 and 1813
Architect: Manuel Tolsá
Location: Downtown Mexico City, on Calle de Tacuba.
Style: Neoclassic
Story:
It was originally built as the seat of the Mining Court. Its construction was carried out for the teaching of mining and metallurgy, which was one of the main economic activities of New Spain.
At the moment it is a museum in charge of the Faculty of Sciences of the UNAM.
Architecture:
Main facade lined with quarry. It has a Portico formed by three arches built with semicircular stone. Upon entering, you will find the lobby, where meteorites that have been found in Mexican territory are currently exhibited. Past the lobby is the Central Patio, which is a large quadrangular plan made up of voussoir arches. The Historical Library is a large room that has an oval shape, this library houses scientific texts from the 16th to the 20th centuries. The main staircase of the Palacio de MinerÃa consists of a pair of ramps that join at a landing, going up a single staircase to the upper level. The chapel is located on the first level as well as the assembly hall. On the same first level is the Rector's Hall.
