A newspaper record is an entry that contains the most important information from the newspaper or magazine that was used to gather information from a research paper. Data are recorded in the hemerographic records as follows:

  • The name of the newspaper, underlined.
  • The name of the director, starting with the first name and then the last name.
  • The periodicity.
  • The country where it is published.
  • The institution that publishes it.
  • The date. The day, month and year will be noted, as appropriate.
  • The number of pages.
  • The year and the number of the newspaper.

When it comes to a newspaper article (newspaper or magazine), the data that is recorded are the following:

  • Name of the author, starting with the surnames.
  • Title of the article, which is placed in quotation marks.
  • Name of the newspaper or magazine, underlined.
  • Country where it is published.
  • Institution that publishes it.
  • Date of appearance.
  • Number of pages covered by the article.
  • Year and number of the newspaper or magazine.
