The audiographic files are those that are made to describe audio files that are stored on any type of medium. These files can be interview recordings, radio shows, or record productions.
As with the bibliographic cards used to locate a book in a library, the audiographic files They are useful for locating a file that is stored in an audio library.
The data that is recorded is usually:
- File name.
- Type: which can be musical, radio, sounds.
- Author's name.
- Date and place of recording.
- Format.
- Duration.
- Audio description.
And depending on the type of audio in question, additional data is included to complete its description, such as for musical audios, name of performer, record company, type of music, name of producer, author, arranger and musicians.
