Extreme thinness.- Within the pessimistic and decadent vision that this subculture idealizes, in many cases they seek to stylize their bodies, in addition to wearing clothes. A certain degree of infantilism. As a means of escaping from the reality in which they live, some choose to have a certain degree of infantilism, in the sense that they shy away from responsibilities that are acquired as they grow older, and they intend to remain in a certain sense as adolescents or children, which is reflected in their clothing by using images of dolls, (teddy bears, rabbits, dolls, etc.), as well as cartoons in which they are seen reflected.
Allusion to suicide. Both in some of the patterns of their clothing, in the lyrics of part of the music of this subgenre, as one of the lines of thought with which they evade reality, they allude to the suicide, as a way to avoid problems and events of daily life and disagreement with life itself, alluding to the fact that their parents, relatives, or acquaintances do them some harm (real or no), trying to avoid the problems of life by isolating themselves from society in general and from the family in preference to joining together with other young people belonging to this movement, as well as through the use of the threat of suicide, being common that they threaten and extort in a certain way their relatives and close friends with which they will commit suicide, in many cases reaching consummate it.
Cuting.- In this regard, a custom that has become popular among this urban tribe stands out, which is cutting the veins or cutting the skin of the wrists, legs or other parts, every time they feel depressed, whether due to a love disappointment, family or school disagreements and even things as trivial as failing a test or not attending a meeting or concert, etc., trying to attract the attention of those around them and in a certain way manipulating their relatives and friends with that behavior self-destructive.
It is also characteristic of this urban tribe that dating couples or groups of friends belonging to this group get together, to perform the so-called cutting, risuka, or self injury, which consists of cutting the skin, using razors or other sharp objects mainly in the arms and wrists, according to them, in this way thus being able to "feel alive", and sometimes as a threat of suicide (sometimes as a means of extorting family members, teachers and close friends), sometimes reaching consummate it.
