Characteristics Of A Brochure

The brochures are a series of small documents that are intended to inform, they are usually summary and of few pages.
Its origins are not very clear, but its use is to inform uses or services of companies, schools and institutions, among others.
Its format is simple and its size and number of pages can vary widely, but it will always be reduced.
Basic characteristics of a brochure:
Clarity.- The brochure is made in a clear and concise, as it has to summarize large amounts of information.
Divulgation.- The dissemination of the brochures is through companies, industries, schools and institutions, which deliver them to its members, clients or associates, are delivered by mail or included in the articles described in the brochures.
Images.- The brochures include images, which can be illustrative or didactic, as they can only be representative or illustrative to guide the understanding of the information contained.
Language.- The language is clear, simple and can become technical, as it can be technical and specialized.
Advertising.- The brochure is used in a massive way to advertise, as stated above, directed information, whether about products or activities.
Size.- The size is usually very small, ranging from letter sizes (magazine), as half a letter or even smaller. The brochures can be made in triptychs but basically they can be considered of another genre.
Applications.- The uses are very varied, as they can be computerized, propagandistic, instructive for use, etc.
Format.- The format of a brochure does not exclusively imply the size and type of paper, as there are aspects such as the type of information and the exposition of the same, we must also include the title, body, text, theme, your logo (if there is one) and the author (if there are). The images also clearly influence, as there may be brochures that contain 80 or 90% of images with explanatory texts.
