We can define the phenomenon known as persuasion as that skill that allows to convince someone of something, stimulating him to act in this or that way even if that way of acting has not been the first choice of the person. Persuasion can be used for positive purposes but in some cases, as with some types of advertising, can be understood as a way to change the opinion of individuals based on the promise or of the presentation of elements that in reality are not such.
Persuasion is a way of social comunication which is based on the conviction that is exercised from a transmitter to a receiver. Persuasion can be achieved in many different ways, although in most cases the language Oral or written is the main element to convince since different theories and persuasive ideas can be presented. Persuasion is considered successful when the person accepts what the other individual has conveyed, meaning that he takes a completely new position or that he directly changes the one he already had with respect to certain matter.
For the phenomenon of persuasion to be established, the person who carries it out must establish some kind of confidence with the person to persuade. This does not mean that they are people who know each other, but it does mean that the person who persuades manages to generate safety in the other respect to what he says or communicates. In addition, the use of evidence or promises about what you are trying to convince is also an important element in generating that persuasion. Sometimes, and depending on the type of communication established, persuasion can be more or less durable, in some cases changing and completely transforming the personality or someone's character.
