The concept of chance is the one that refers to all acts or fortuitous situations that are not generated by logic or for calculated reasons that have unexpected or difficult to measure consequences. Chance is normally related to games and different recreational activities, but nevertheless it can be present in a myriad of situations or circumstances of everyday life, when something happens unexpectedly or because of chance.
Chance is primarily linked to the notion of spontaneity, that something arises or happens in a unexpected and therefore cannot be measurable with man-made laws (such as mathematics or logic). Although man can get as close as possible to certain results that are the consequence of some level of chance, divination of them will never be complete since otherwise, if an event or event could be predicted in a total way, we would not be talking about random.
The notion of chance has in some cases negative meanings since it is something that the
human being it cannot measure and therefore cannot foresee or prevent. Chance implies that some circumstances can become dangerous or tragic precisely due to this condition of not being able to be foreseen under the normal parameters of logic created by the human being.Chance is present not only in matters such as particular coincidences (such as finding a ticket in the Street) if not also with different branches of sciences such as physical quantum or some actions math that do not have a logic or meaning fully understood by the human being. Furthermore, the notion of chance is also found in the philosophy when referring to the idea that the human being reaches this world as a product of chance and not of his own choosing.
