The Social psychology is a branch of the psychology that deals especially and preferably with the functioning of individuals in their respective social environments, that is, as integral parts of a society or community and how both the human being and the environment in which it develops contribute to determine each.
Just as in various societies there are institutions that show typical human features, many times and almost in parallel to this, the social life of any person has become a determining factor when it comes to directing the psychological functioning of someone, then, it is precisely here that the Social psychology.
Although this branch was not born with psychology, it would soon emerge as an immediate need to explain some processes that take place in society and that are obviously the result of the action of the man. It will be at the beginning of the last century, in the United States and from the hand of Floyd Allport that its main definitions will emerge and that it will become an authentic discipline scientific
Above we indicated the general metier and the context in which social psychology intervened with its conclusions, explanations and theories, while among which would be its specific topics of interest widely studied by countless scholars and specialists, we will find the attitudes, aggressions, attractions, the collectivity, the communication, conformity, stereotypes, groups, social skills, expectations, identity, the leadership, movements, obedience, prejudices, socialization, values and violence, among others.
In the event that any person presents any dysfunction in some of the aforementioned aspects, which reports an impediment to integrate or develop as any other within a social environment, it will be necessary for a professional in this matter to intervene with the appropriate support and advised in each particular case to achieve that the patient recovers or reaches the skills required for proper functioning within a society, such as working, living, relating to his peers, among others issues.
Usually, the best therapy is one that seeks to include the person in trouble, always, within a social environment, that is, that is properly in a shared environment in which he knows, accepts and shares with others his main conflicts in order to solve them.
